The OAR Club As Your Guide

WE BELIEVE…

  • Teaching water safety to all campers is paramount.

  • Our job is to teach the person first, athlete second.

  • Rowing is a vehicle to learn and teach important life lessons.

  • The expanded range of movement, increase in core strength and full body workout associated rowing make it a fantastic foundation for a lifetime of thriving in other sports and overall wellness and fitness.

  • Coaching should not be “one size fits all”. We aim to meet each student athlete where they are and help them succeed.

  • There’s power in teaching athletes how to embrace a leader mindset by replacing blaming, making excuses and denial with our core values of ownership, accountability, responsibility and servant leadership (OARS).

  • It’s possible to love working hard at something and it’s important to have fun doing it.

  • The ultimate success is a continuous pursuit of becoming the best version of yourself. We never stop striving and we expect the same of our rowers.

  • We exist to develop great student athlete leaders.
